Midwest Bucks is the driving force behind my addiction to bow hunting, but not far behind is getting up close and personal with gobbling thunder chickens in spring.

Buck Profile “Chipper”

Hey guys today I want to introduce to you a big main frame eight point that we call “Chipper.”  He earned his name because of the cut in his ear.  When I saw the picture I said, “it looks like someone has taken a chip out of his ear.”  So the name “Chipper” or “Chip” for short stuck.

Chip, is a solid 4.5 year old buck and a great representation of what southern Iowa produces.  He has good mass, great tine length, nice long main beams and his g-1’s are not-to-bad either.  He is not super wide, but I still think he will push seventeen inches inside.

I believe, from all the pictures we have of this deer that he will easily cross 140″ as an eight point.  Regardless of score, he is four years old and if he walks by me at any point this year I will be happy to try and harvest this trophy.

So, now I introduce to you “Chipper.” (pay no attention to date on cam, it is off) My beautiful picture
