The KING of all Turkey Events

73rd King Turkey Day Festival – – September 14 & 15, 2012 – Worthington, MN

Where else can you find race teams herding their star “athletes” (wild racing turkeys) down main street? The Great Gobbler Gallop is part of Worthington, Minnesota’s very own King Turkey Day festival.

The King Turkey Day Board of Directors are happy to announce, that after several years of steady and continued growth of fun filled family activities, King Turkey Day will expand again to maintain its current listing of events and provide room for growth for the entire community!
The tried and true traditions of King Turkey Days will hold its ground in the heart of our great city in Downtown Worthington. These great traditions like the Turkey Day 10K, King Kaller Turkey Calling Contest, The King Turkey Day Free Pancake Feed, the 5K Family Walk with the Y, The King Turkey Day Featured Speaker and of course The Great Gobbler Gallop and Grand King Turkey Day Parade all will stay the same.

Wait did I see “King Kaller” Turkey Calling Contest, what is this all about? Well to go along with this festival last year they added this calling contest and yes you guessed it I was there.
