No we didn’t start a band! This week Victory Outdoors will be in Nashville, TN at the Grand National Calling Championships (GNCC) hosted each year by the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF). This happens at the Annual NWTF Convention and Sport Show. The sport show is a monster in of itself, every major company in the turkey woods will be there from Mossy Oak Brand Camo to call companies and gun manufactures even outfitters ready to take you on your next adventure. To say the least there is lots to see and do.

First up for me is a calling contest, Friday at Noon I’ll be calling in the NWTF Senior Preliminaries of the Grand National Calling Championships. In 2013 I won Twin Cities “Head to Head” Turkey Calling Championships and 2013 Iowa State Turkey Calling Championship. Both of those wins qualified me for the 2014 NWTF Grand National Calling Championships in Nashville, Tennessee. This now marks my forth time calling at Grand National Calling Championships, third in as many years. It really is an honor to share the stage with the best callers in the world. It is a monster task but I hope to make the cut for the NWTF Grand National Senior Finals, starting Saturday at 2:00 PM.
I will be spending the rest of my time on the floor of the Convention. On Saturday morning you will be able to find me at the WoodHaven Custom Calls booth 240. Stop by say hi and check out some great calls. I also will be in and out of the Mossy Oak Booth all weekend and from time to time you can find me in the Waston AirLock booth 1430. It’s a busy place, lots going on around there all the time. I can also be found hanging out with LongBeard Life crew in Booth 247!!
I will post often on the Victory Outdoor facebook page, as things happen, as well as post short videos of things we find along the way. At least a few times throughout the trip to Nashville, I will update with a post right here on Victory Outdoor with a more in depth update.
