Hunter’s Specialties Appoints John Trull Chief Executive Officer
Cedar Rapids, IA, January 6, 2015 – Hunter’s Specialties, Inc. (“Hunter’s Specialties” or the “Company”), a leading manufacturer of scent control products, game calls and hunting accessories, and a portfolio company of Peak Rock Capital LLC, announced today that John Trull has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Mr Trull succeeds Larry Bildstein, who has decided to retire following a successful ownership transition earlier this year. Mr. Trull joins Hunter’s Specialties with over 14 years of professional experience in sporting goods products and accessories, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Firearms at Remington Outdoor Company (“Remington”), a leading manufacturer of firearms and ammunition for the hunting and shooting sports markets.
Peter Leibman, a Board member of Hunter’s Specialties, commented on Mr. Trull’s appointment, stating, “John Trull is a talented industry veteran with a demonstrated track record of growing sporting product businesses, and we are very excited to have him join the Company as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Remington, Mr. Trull spent 3 years as operations director with Frisby Technologies, a developer of branded thermal management products for use in a range of consumer and industrial products. Mr. Trull has an M.B.A. in Finance from Wake Forest University and a B.S. in Business Administration, Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
