Calling at GNCC 2013
It’s that time of the year again, I spend a lot of my time going from sportshow to sportshow doing everything from working booths to calling in contests. This weekend I’m heading up to the Wisconsin Dells for the 2014 Wisconsin State and Open Calling Contest. This will be my first contest of the year and only contest before I call on the big stage at NWTF Grand National Calling Championships in Nashville, TN. It’s better than nothing and this is a great contest, it’s known for being very well run and has great judging. Even better it is also known for getting top callers to call in this contest. You might ask why that is a good thing? Well as any caller will tell you you have to beat the best to be the best. You will hear some of the best callers in the midwest, calling for the titles. Wish me luck and maybe I’ll see a few of you there! I’ll post the results and a video in a post next week.
This is always the time of year I hit up a few indoor 3D shoots, there happens to be one of those this weekend as well. When people talk about the best indoor 3D Archery Range in Northeast Iowa, they are talking about Echo Valley Archers in West Union, Iowa. These guys put in a ton of work into this awesome range. Plus they are a great group of people always willing to help you out.

Friday Night Team Shoot-call for a line time. Openings available at 4:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Saturday-Individual Open Shooting. Register 7:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Saturday Night-Team Shoot Starting at 5:00 p.m. Call for line times. All time slots still available at this time.
Sunday-Individual Open Shooting. Register 7:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
