As a young boy growing up in the Loess Hills of Iowa, I was naturally drawn to the outdoors. With most of my free time spent hunting or fishing, I developed a passion for whitetails.  A passion that my parents often thought of as unnatural because of the amount of time I spent in pursuit of deer. This passion continued through my teenage years into my early twenties when a remarkable change occurred.  I killed my first world class animal. After that day my passion turned into a obsession. Still to this day there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about or do something that in one way or another has to do with the upcoming deer seasons.

photo_1The walls in my house are starting to fill up and my wife keeps telling me “no more mounts” but we both know that’s not going to happen. My children are growing older now, I look forward to the day when I get the opportunity to witness them harvest there first deer. I’m a proud Prostaff member for Mossy Oak Brand Camo and HIPS Targets. The future looks bright for my deer hunting obsession, with the opportunity to share my stories and videos with my new family (Victory Outdoors).
